Meet at 10:30 in School Road, Amberley BN18 9NA, Grid Ref. TQ031130. Parking is in the free car park in School Road. Toilets will be available at Sue Adams’ house which is nearby.

We will be walking through the village and down onto the Wildbrooks Grid Ref. TQ030132. This is an SSSI of over 300 hectares comprising grazing marshes alongside the River Arun. These are intersected by drainage ditches where there is a great diversity of water plants. We should see a range of species such as Marsh Ragwort Jacobaea aquatica, Greater Tussock-sedge Carex paniculata, Lesser Water-parsnip Berula erecta, Frogbit Hydrocharis morsus-ranae and Curled Pondweed Potamogeton crispus.
