Recording by junior members

Junior members can record plants in a Beginner’s diary, a Field Botanist’s record book or an electronic list. These should be submitted by 31 January. Juniors are awarded badges for the number of species found each year.

Some members also like to draw, paint or photograph their favourite wild flowers, and members who have not completed a full diary are encouraged to write to (or email) the branch secretary about interesting finds. Members can also get in touch through the year with any plant identification queries.

The Dent Prize is awarded to junior members between 12 and 18 for the best record book or a botanical project. Entries must be submitted by January 31st.
