This will be a walk of about 3 miles to look at the local flora. It will be on level ground, along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and through fields to the Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s Mere Sands Wood Reserve, where there are toilets, and back along footpaths and roads. Afterwards, there may be an opportunity to see Tufted Loosestrife Lysimachia thyrsiflora a short drive away.
