Meet at 11:00 in the forest car park Grid Ref. S340102 on the west side of the R676, Lemybrien to Carrick-on-Suir road.

The aim of the meeting is to show Recurved Sandwort Minuartia recurva found in 2006 new for Co. Waterford. This is a demanding walk; a good level of fitness is required. This is a joint meeting with the BSBI.

Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th July: Lady’s Island Lake, Chour, County Wexford

Meet at 10:00 on dunes at Grid Ref. T099046, park on dunes at fork of track. We will be visiting the very SE corner of Wexford to include the Cottonweed Achillea maritima, Sticky Stork’s-bill Erodium lebelii, Early Orache Atriplex praecox and other coastal plants. Aquatic plants will include Soft Hornwort Ceratophyllum submersum. There will also be a number of non-native species seen including Orange-peel Clematis Clematis tangutica and Small Cleavers Galium murale. We will visit more than one site during the day.

The second day will be on the east facing slopes of the Blackstairs Mountains where we will see Sharp-toothed Eyebright Euphrasia stricta, Dryopteris affinis subsp. kerryensis, Irish Whitebeam Sorbus hibernica. etc. Plus pop into Co. Carlow to walk along the River Burrow to see Killarney Fern Trichomanes speciosum.
