A late season meeting, as we specifically hope to see the rare Marsh Gentian Gentiana pneumonanthe which blooms in late summer and early autumn and is found on the Common.

Chobham Common is the largest NNR in the SE of England.

The Common has more than 300 species of wild flowers, including heather, gorse and orchids, The heathland is dominated by these flowers while the wetlands have insect-eating sundews. There will also be plenty of bryophytes, lichens and fungi to enjoy.
