The ‘Presidents’ Award’ is awarded annually to acknowledge a publication which makes an outstanding contribution to the understanding of the flowering plants and ferns of Britain and Ireland.
The recipient(s) are chosen, after consultation, by the Presidents of the BSBI and the Wild Flower Society.

The 2022 Presidents’ Award, selected by WFS President, Sir Ghillean Prance, went to John Richards for his Field Handbook to British and Irish Dandelions.
On receiving the award, John wrote, ‘Many thanks. I am honoured to have received this award. Some recognition for dandelions!!’
