We will spend the day exploring the dunes where, as well as a range of dune plants and well-established garden escapes, we should see Isle-of-Man Cabbage Coincya monensis ssp. monensis, the maritime sub-species of Field Wormwood Artemisia campestris ssp. maritima, at one of its few sites in the UK and the Sea Holly Broomrape Orobanche minor ssp. minor var. pseudoamethystea.
For a change from plants, Antony Gormley’s Iron Men looking out to sea, are nearby.
