Tiddesley Wood and Stocken Orchard
This will be a joint meeting with North Worcestershire Flora Group and the Wild Flower Society.
Meet at 10.30 at the Tiddesley Wood Car Park. Tiddesley Wood, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve near Pershore WR10 2AD; Grid Ref: SO929462; what3words: ///drainage.listings.gratitude.
We shall be making a list of the wildflowers as we find them. Tiddesley Wood is managed by coppicing on rotation to encourage wildflowers such as Early-purple and Common Spotted-orchid.
Stocken Orchard (Vale Orchard Heritage Trust) is a nearby fruit area with grassland rides that we shall also explore for wild flowers.
Directions from the B4084 Pershore to Worcester Road. Take Rebecca Road, signposted to Croome Park (sign post is just north of Pershore town). The entrance to the Reserve Car Park is on the left about ¾ mile along the B4084 from Pershore direction.
